FED:Industry to pay pollution price from 2012
The federal government says industry will be required to pay a price for every tonne
of carbon pollution it pumps into the air from July 2012 .. but the opposition warns consumers
will pay more for energy .. transport and many goods.
Prime Minister JULIA GILLARD'S multi-party climate change committee .. which includes
Greens and independent MPs .. plans a two-stage approach to tackling greenhouse gas emissions.
