Fed: New Aust ambassador to APEC
CANBERRA, Dec 20 AAP - Career diplomat Geoff Raby was today made Australia's ambassadorto the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) group.
Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer said Dr Raby would succeed Pamela Fayle.
Dr Raby has worked in the Office of National Assessments, headed the Department ofForeign Affairs and Trade's East Asia analytical unit, and has been the department's firstassistant secretary in trade negotiations.
