The 2005 successor to the Chrysler Neon will likely be sold in Europe as a Dodge.

DaimlerChrysler has not officially decided to introduce Dodge in Europe, say sources close to Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA.

But "we expect an announcement at the Frankfurt auto show in September," a source said. "We expect it to be positive. We see a lot of potential for Dodge in Europe."

Dodge's European plans suffered a setback when a new production site in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, was scrapped. Dodge had planned to build its new M80 there, a compact pickup vehicle designed to appeal to young, trendy Europeans …
